The chain Chipotle Mexican Grill aims to combine two ideas that don't typically see eye-to-eye: fast food and sustainability.
Chipotle uses local and/or sustainably farmed products where possible. After 19 years of existence, the New York Times reports, Chipotle has produced its first national TV commercial - but with a twist. The commercial prompts viewers to download a song from iTunes (Willie Nelson performing Coldplay's tune The Scientist) with about 60% of the proceeds supporting the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.
The commercial itself is an animated short illustrating the difference between factory farms and family farms.
Pretty cool stuff all the way around!
